About Us

As an ally in the teaching and research needs of the school community, the MHSS Learning Resource Center (LRC) serves the students, faculty, and other researchers through equitable access to high-quality information resources and services. The LRC uses the latest library automation system.

The library dubbed as the heart of its institution, it is situated at the second floor. Currently, the LRC houses more than 4,000 books, periodicals, multimedia materials, and online resources.


MISSION

The Learning Resource Center supports the mission of Malayan High School of Science by providing library and information services to our diverse community of students and faculty. The library is a student centered learning environment that promotes inquiry and understanding of the world, its peoples, its cultures, its possibilities. The library is the place where essential questions and enduring understandings of human knowledge are explored, questioned and discussed.


LIBRARY OBJECTIVES

The library as a learning tool for school operations will uplift the educational quality of teaching and extent apt supports to the curriculum whose main objective is to prepare its students with adequate information services beyond the Malayan High School of Science.

To strengthen its’ role as a school library, it shall try to have a friendly atmosphere and will offer intellectual and physical access to its collections and services. The core curriculum (with its attendant’s need) may improve and develop programs seeking accreditation, may also present challenges to the ongoing classification and maintenance
